School will also consider those students who have an offer for other law firms and would like to “join in” the Legal Placement course to gain credits.

To be eligible, students must satisfy the following:

The student must submit the application two weeks before the start of the “join-in” internship.

The student must include the following in the application:

1. 1. The name of the law firm;
2. 2. The length of the agreed work time (at least 160-hour legal placement, equivalent to 4-week full time work (legal related);
3. 3. A written confirmation from the law firm stating the name and Hong Kong ID card number of the student, and the agreed work time;
4. 4. A written confirmation from the law firm stating that they will participate in the assessment of the student;
5. 5. A written consent from the law firm allowing the student to be enrolled in a credit-bearing Legal Placement programme during the time at which the student is working with them; and
6. 6. A declaration from the student that they will comply with the requirements (e.g. assignments, cost, etc.) of the Legal Placement course and the syllabus thereof.

 

No application of “join in” will be considered for past experiences or placement that had already begun.
